Hi, I'm SJ!

I'm a creative leader and multidisciplinary artist based in Manchester, NH. I am focused on advocacy illustration, brand storytelling, and visuals that connect community and spark social impact. 
I’ve loved creating for as long as I can remember.
Some of my earliest memories are of sitting outside on the back patio of my childhood home hand painting for hours until the sun started to disappear and I realized I had completely lost track of time. I still remember drawing my first self-portrait in elementary school and realizing art felt deeply personal to me in a way I didn’t fully understand yet. It became more than just something I enjoyed. It became a way to better understand myself, connect with people, and express feelings that were often difficult to put into words.
That connection to creativity has followed me through every stage of my life.
Today, my work moves between illustration, embroidery, photography, apparel, branding, and creative leadership. Over the past 18+ years, I’ve had the opportunity to help bring ideas to life across both independent and larger creative environments. What continues to excite me most is the space where creativity and human connection meet — building work that not only looks beautiful, but actually makes people feel something. I love dreaming up ideas just as much as I love helping shape the collaboration, systems, and creative direction that allow those ideas to fully come to life.
A lot of my inspiration comes from exploration and wonder. Nature has always grounded me creatively and emotionally. Forests, oceans, changing seasons, late night drives, quiet moments outdoors, and the feeling of standing beneath a sky full of stars continue to shape the way I create. There’s something incredibly inspiring to me about realizing how much there still is to discover — both about the world around us and about ourselves.
I’m drawn to work that feels expressive, textured, imperfect, and deeply human. I love bold color with rich contrast, and artwork that feels raw and full of personality rather than overly polished. Whether I’m illustrating, building a brand, developing apparel, or helping guide larger creative projects, I care deeply about creating work that helps people feel more connected to themselves and each other.
